What's your biggest wildest horse dream?

Question

Any dream that you have dealing with horses, from owning your own farm, to riding across a state, anything/goal you have that seems lager then life and would make you the happiest person alive to be able to do. what is it for you?

there are no wrong answers.

mine would be to just take a vaca with a horse(s) and one or two close friends. Maybe drive down the east coast and camp along the beaches and rivers. . . something like that. big dream.

Mine is quite silly but my dad was a jockey back in day,when he talks of his days on the gallops his eyes light up,you can tell he still loves the racing world.

Soo my dream would be to ride in a race for my dad,dont even have to win but just to be in it would make his day.

To own my own equine rescue.  I would like to rescue horses from auction or find injured performance horses and rehabilitate and retrain them to be ... something, whether it be a jumper, dressage horse, or a simple child's pony.  It would be nice to make a difference in the world by taking something thrown away and unwanted and making it spectacular.

This dream is slightly possible.  My very impossible, never going to happen in the next millennium dream is to be able to enter a grand prix jumping competition with my horse (a 15.1hh Arabian..hehe, told you it wasn't going to happen)...But with all this Olympic stuff going on, I might have to change my dream a bit.

Me and a bunch of the girls at my barn took four hours to plan out our dream barn so i will just put a brief description of it

it is in a invisible climate controlled dome and you have to be asked to join it and you must have a minimum of 5 horses 1 hunter 1 jumper 1 equitation horse 1 pony and 1 horse of your choice

every one will have there own tack room which will serve as there house and you will have personal chefs there are 6 indoor rings and 6 outdoor rings outside there is a hunter ring jumper ring equitation ring flatting ring pony ring and a ring for having fun and going bareback and stuff like that and the stalls have two feet of shredded rubber covered by rubber mats and 2 feet of the fluffiest shavings so that it is like they are standing on air and it goes on with how they can never get hurt and all that and i would write more but i am a slow typer

owning at least 20 horses, beautiful clean stalls, huge barn, indoor arena. a cutting pen. a outdoor arena, a round pen, a calf roping pen, pretty much everything with horses and rodeo, except the broncs, i want tame horses that respect me. i could care less about what my house is as long as these horses get the top of the line stalls and barn. plenty of pasture. id give riding lessons and bail my own hay. i'd break each horse myself and ride each of them at least 4 time a week. i would have barrels and a barrel racing arena ( and poles ) and big balls to get my horses used to scary objects, also ( with the scary objects ) id have a tarp, logs, and cones as well.. idk i could go on and on. but thats my biggest horse dream ever.

To be able to save, rehabilitate and train TWH performance horses, then sell them to individuals or families.  I'm doing that with my newest mare, and it's extremely rewarding.  But she's mine, no one else is getting their hands on this one.

to just gallop bareback/ bridleless across the beaches in oregon off into the sunset. full out run, just bookin it.

another one that actually has a fair chance of making it is to beat the current record of keg race in my gaming club. and possibly breaking it in 2 other local clubs.

To have a place big enough to put any down-on-his -luck-horse I ever come across to be safe, well fed, well cared for and not be dependent on the 'kindness of strangers' to support that undertaking.

I just happen to have developed a new one after Freedom Rider posted that video of racking horses a few days ago.  It looks like SO much fun....my family and I have watched it several times, and are planning to do some research into this whole gaited horse racking stuff.

Be able to ride/train FEI dressage horses.  It would be nice to go to the olympics, but I'm not holding my breath.  I just want to be an accomplished rider.  Owning my own farm would be great, but it's a lot of work (LOL).  I have some thinking to do...

I would love to get into equine photography. I'm starting my venture into it now, but I would love to make a name for myself like Bob Langrish. To be able to be instantly recognized for my photographs would be an absolute dream. I'm just getting started (I've done a single show hahaha), but I'm really set on doing something with it.

to win the lottery and have a massive livery yard with everything u could imagine! and also to gallop down a beach abroard somewhere(im from the uk) id also like to have a rescue for any horse that needs rescuing! i cud go on and on but i wont! lol

just ride around the country with my horse, never settle down anywhere, make a bit of money doing training and stunt riding.

I have seriously on several occasions considered never getting a car and just riding my horse everywhere...too bad I live on the east coast (maine to be exact) making a car a necessity if I want to go anywhere in the winter...haha

My dream is to own at least one horse that impacts the horse world majorly. One horse who's death impacted thousands was Hollywood Dun It, and I would love to at least have one horse that makes that big an impact on the world.

My other big dream is that hay, feed, and vet supplies become a lot cheaper. Guess I should **** in one hand and wish in the other and see, eh?

well this is more of a dream me and my friend have lol instead of like a dream at night. I want to be teh trainer and her the vet, we would share a huge barn, a huge arean. we would traine dthourghbred, and quarter horses for raceing and showing, and have a mustang rescue. lol its a little crazy but who knows someday when we are rich ( wich will never happen lol).

To win the AQHA Congress in open WP with a horse that I bred, raised and trained. I would enjoy doing it with one of my good friends. Ive owned many many horses in my life but like silver says, not that special one....the one that will change the industry forever. I think that would be just cool........my other wish would be for a healthier horse market, less pukes and more restrictions on BYB's  I wish for the days when everything was less expensive and I didnt have to worry about every purchase I made.......Oh and I guess If we are wishing here......I'll take that winning lotto ticket too!
