What's your definition of a "Badass"?

When you hear the word "Badass", what kind of image comes to your mind?

Someone that looks like rugged,..tough! Usually do extreme actions..But it doesn't indicate that a "Badass" has to go against the law.

If its a thing, like cars... A Hummer plowing 10 inches of snow or cruising the dessert or crawling on rocks,covered with mud...Badass! car... compared to driving a sedan..a mercedes in downtown area.
