  4. Round 18, 1995, Friday night match between Richmond and Hawthorn.

I had only been in Melbourne for a day and a half. It was my first time in the MCG. What a memory.

This year, when the siren went off on GF day. I cried, listening to 3AW on the Internet (thanks Andrew for no worthwhile TV in the USA of footy).

By American gridiron team has one it once, Super Bowl, in my lifetime (Kansas City, 1969), by baseball team has only won it once, World Series, in my lifetime (Kansas City, 1985). Now my footy club has won it for the second time, I was only 2 years old in 1963 and I didn't know what footy was for another 20 years.

  7. Ray Gabelich  ..running to goal square from wing in '64 granny, to put pies in front with 3 minutes on the clock.     What made it special Gabbo was 20 stone , never been repeated since.  Have never seen so many stetson hats fly into the air .   Always wondered how the owners got em back ..lol

At the time i was a young aspiring cricketer with more ambition than talent and he was my hero so for him to do something so courageous for his country will live with me for at least 30 years

  12. Teddy Whitten doing a lap of honor with his son at the G - it still brings tears to my eyes.

  13. The 89 GF when Brerton got taken out behind play, then a few mins later he took a strong grab and kicked the goal .......  This is after he had been vomiting and struggling to get back to his feet.

That whole game was just so physical, I think there wrere 3 Hawthorn players that were in hospital that night, the worst being Dipper with a punctured lung
