I love Pretty N Pink, Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club and Weird Science.

This is a good question, since John Hughes has made some very good movies.  My personal favorite is Planes, Trains, and Automobiles (1987), which he not only directed, but also wrote.  Steve Martin and John Candy are pretty funny in it.

I have two. I love the poignancy of Planes, Trains and Automobiles, but i love the music and Mary Stuart Masterson's hair(!) in Some Kind Of Wonderful! I get choked up at the end of Planes. And i love when Hardy gets smacked by his ex in Some Kind!
