this one's mine "We are going to die, and that makes us the lucky ones. Most people are never going to die, because they are never going to be born. The number of people who could be here in my place outnumber the sand grains of Sahara. If you think about all the different ways in which our genes could be permuted. You and I are quite grotesquely lucky to be here, the number of events that had to happened in order for you to exist, in order for me to exist. We are privileged to be alive, and we should make the most of our time on this world." Richard Dawkins.

  1. I suppose it would be:

"I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours." — Stephen F. Roberts during an interview he gave with a Christian when asked why he was an atheist.

  2. -You're an atheist?

-Only on Christmas and Easter, the rest of the time it doesn't matter.

    Good old House.

    Oh, and,

Rational arguments don't usually work on religious people- otherwise there were would be no religious people.

  3. I don't know about atheist quotes per se, but here are some along those lines (theist, agnostic, etc.):

"I do not consider it an insult, but rather a compliment to be called an agnostic. I do not pretend to know where many ignorant men are sure — that is all that agnosticism means." - Clarence Darrow

"Just think of the tragedy of teaching children not to doubt." - Clarence Darrow

"Of all the systems of religion that ever were invented, there is none more derogatory to the Almighty, more unedifying to man, more repugnant to reason, and more contradictory in itself, than this thing called Christianity. Too absurd for belief, too impossible to convince, and too inconsistent for practice, it renders the heart torpid, or produces only atheists and fanatics." - Thomas Paine

"Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, He must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blind-folded fear." - Thomas Jefferson

"I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use." - Galileo Galilei

"Between air conditioning and the Pope, I'll take air conditioning." - Woody Allen
