  1. My favorite board game was from the 80's. It was called Rubik's Race. It's really fun and competitive.

  2. Carcassonne is my current favorite.  It's just fun to play, even if you're not winning.  It has a good blend of strategy, tactics, and luck.  Plus, there are expansions available which can add more depth to the game.  If you have never played modern (German style) board games, Carc is a great introduction to the genre.  If you want reviews and descriptions of boardgames, http://boardgamegeek.com/newuser.php is an excellent resource.

  3. monopoly!

    cause it's a classic!=]

  4. dirty minds. its so funny when ur drunk :)

  5. Well June my favorite boardgame is Monoply because its very exicting and is webkinz considered a board game becuz it rocks!!!!!!  Proud owner of 43 webkinz!!

  6. trouble

cause its fun and u dont ever loose the die

  7. Of course CHESS dear!!!

It keeps the rust on your brains away... Simple!!!

  8. my favorite has to be monopoly's don't go to jail. all u have to do is know how to count. it's great for the kids. u can play for days or minutes. its lots of fun and not many people know about it

  9. Warhammer 40,000- fun & friends, modeling & painting.

  10. I enjoy chess because the the amount of options and play styles coming from it are absolutely limitless - I could probably play 1000 games and not get bored. It also improves intelligence.

  11. theres loads but monopoly is my first choice and game of life :)

  12. Chess because it is the most complicated game ever. The number of moves available on a chess board up to move 40 vastly exceeds the number of atoms in the visible universe. If you can master this game, you are truly very intelligent.

  13. My favorite is a game called HIVE. It's an abstract-strategy game with the depth and replayability of games like Chess or XiangQi.. but it's not played on a traditional board. Rather the pieces themselves ARE the gameboard.. which results in a VERY portable game.

  14. 1.) Stop Thief

    2.) Clue

    3.) Scotland Yard

    4.) Life

    5.) Payday

Several others to note, like Survive!, Careers, Risk, The Farming Game, and Monopoly...but the 5 listed above are the games we spent the most time playing on the porch during summers from '85 to '90.  Stop Thief is still the greatest to me, with Clue and Scotland Yard a very close 2nd and 3rd.  They're the best when you've got 4 players and hours to kill.  I always liked those 3, mainly because they require some critical thinking skills, coupled with a little luck...while other games like Payday and Life seemed to be mostly about luck and little skill.

  15. i was in love with a game called 'awful green things from outer space' by tom wham when i was a kid- two players, one played the crew of the spaceship znutar, the other played blob-like creatures that were infesting the ship. you got to run around, trying all sorts of improvised weapons to kill the green things (and they worked better or worse each game, determined randomly) and try to fight back the green thing invasion as they mutated, reproduced, and ate your crew... it was well illustrated and loads of fun!

...chess, monopoly, risk, and sratego are other favorites- but i wanted to throw something unconventional out there!

  16. Probably chess, you really have to think at it and it can get really competative. Also its fun to laugh evilly when you're about to capture your friend's king. I also played Scattagories once and it was really fun to hear all the different words people came up with.

  17. I think I like LIFE, I don't really know why. It was just always my favorite when I was a kid and no one would ever play with me. Monopoly is my second favorite.  I liked playing with the money.

  18. "CANDY LAND" because i love the colors, plus the name is sweet, and i love candy. who don't.

  19. Monopoly, i dunno why, just really fun to play. mabye cuz the money aspect of it
