  1. My favorite guilty pleasure restaurant is probably the Cheesecake Factory.  I know that the portions are ridiculous (and I've never finished an entree in one sitting) and that pretty much everything on the menu (including the 'salads') is terrible for me. Overall, you really couldn't come up with a more ridiculous parody of American food.

Still every so often I just love to flip through that gigantic menu and order a gigantic plate of something covered in cheese.

  9. Threadgills in Austin, Tx. The food is traditional comfort food and the history is fantastic. Traveling musicians used to stop there to play and were paid in beer. Janis Joplin is one famous example. The club became a restaurant in the early 80's and is a great place to sit back and enjoy Austin and a plate of fried green tomatoes.
