What's your favorite hotel brand and why?

We all have to go places and we all have to spend the night. We've all had good experiences and we've all had some bad experiences. Some of us deal with this more than others, especially those of us that travel frequently.

What's your favorite hotel brand and why? What makes it better than all of the others out there? :-)

I like all hotels pretty good. except the ones that say motel on it. or m tel depending on how good the lights are.

motel 6.  They leave the light on and don't charge me for it.

The vibrating beds are cheap too

I like the Hyatts because they are pretty consistent in their accommodations and services...Some other chains run the range from roach motel to 4 star depending on where you go and I don't like unpleasant surprises lol.

If it's someplace I know and travel too often, I stick with the local, non-corp hotels...

I prefer to avoid the big name brands/chains of hotels (same applies to restaurants/supermarkets, clothes stores or any other kind of shop really).  There is nothing special or unique about any of them no matter how nice they are.  The employees are just that.  They don't own the business.  Just a handful of corporations own most of the hotel chains in the world.  Too much money into the hands of too few.  I like to spend my dollars in smaller privately owned businesses.  I really like up-market boutique hotels with a bit of character and more genuine hospitality.

I like the HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS.....................  :)

Their continental breakfast is always outstanding and a GREAT variety!!!!!   The rooms are clean and comfortable and make me want to come back again and again!!!!!!!!!  :)

If I'm on the road I tend to stay at the SUPER 8's hotel chain. I like to stay at the Hilton Hotels when I have more time because I see lots of celebrities and I get great treatment and services.
