Sassafras tea, taken from the root of a sassafra tree.  You basically stew some of the root from the tree.  This tea is kind of "old-school" as it isn't mentioned much these days.  I add a litle sugar to mine to make it a little sweet ( not too much).  The flavor is very savory because of the natural "spiciness" in the root.  Trust me, if you can find the root of this tree you have to try this...you'll never drink another kind of tea again, it's that addictive.
