  1. Making your child laugh is the best.  My son is 7 months old and something that makes him laugh today may not make him laugh tomorrow so I am always trying to find new ways.  His new favorite is when I throw my head back and forth and make my hair fly around.  It makes me light-headed but it is worth it to hear that little squeal!

  2. When I see my son imitating some quirk of behavior that I have. Like checking his watch a lot, constantly jiggling his leg, little things like that. I don't know why, but it makes me smile.

  3. He makes me look forward to each day.  I never did that before being a parent.  It was a ritual I had to go through every morning; lay in bed and try to think of a reason to get up, be happy, etc.  Now, it never even crosses my mind to do this anymore.  He is my reason.

  4. I love when my kids make me laugh! Nothing brings you out of a bad mood  like your  kids can!

  5. You know how in college there's always one dorm mate who just can't shut up about her boyfriend, being a mushy idiot until everyone around her just wants to vomit? Well, if I were given the time to yap your ear off that's probably how I'd be about my baby. It actually is a lot like being in love--you may get frustrated with the person you adore, but everything about them shines: their lips, their eyes, their skin, everything about them is perfect, "the very best" ever. But if I had to pick one thing, it'd be what I call her "ginchy" smile--she wrinkles up her eyes and nose and shows off all 4 teeth.

  6. THe way kids live in the moment. I get SO frustrated when my kids are told to do something and they stop and dawdle along the way because they see beauty along the way. And than I stop and realize that they are teaching me a life lesson. I love that!

  7. Everytime my 4 month old does something new, I feel like he's the first baby in the whole world to do it and I'm overwhelmed at how perfect he is!

Of course I know every mom thinks the same thing but that's what makes being a mom so special.

  8. Making them laugh is awesome, especially when you do something that you don't think they'll laugh at!  My daughter was still tired and not quite upbeat yet this morning at breakfast (she's 3 1/2 yrs.), and being a little crabby at me, so I said "Don't be a Grumpy Gus!"  and she laughed!  And I didn't expect it, I thought she'd get annoyed at me for trying to play around.  So that was great.  I also love when they do things or know things that you've taught them yourself.  My daughter loves to ask a million questions about anything and everything, so I do my best to give her a straight simple answer so she can learn about different things.  It makes you proud when they mention it later and you know that it was all because of you that they have more knowledge about things.

  9. I love kids and I get to take them to places I have never been to and they do fight but there is a reason we had them, we love them and we wanted to have a beautiful family with kids.

  10. When I look into their eyes & see the love they have for me. I have 3 children. 16,14 & 3, they are all special in their own ways & I love them so much. I'm very thankful for them. When I put my 3 year old down for bed & she looks up at me & I rub her cheeks & her eyes close so slowly. I know she feels loved & safe. With my two older children, I love watching them grow into the young adults they have become. It's rewarding when they are experiencing something in their life & they use the knowledge that I've taught them. It's funny to hear my words coming out of their mouths. They would never admit that to me, but that's ok. I love to hug & kiss them & let them know how much I love them & how proud I am of them. When my 3 yr. old tells me not to step on the ant that's on the sidewalk because he is trying to go home to his family is so precious. I have so many favorite things. They are all so special & we should all be thankful for having our children

  11. Everyday my daughter comes home with a new saying. she cracks me up. Plus her little hands working away coloring or tickling me or just holding my face makes me smile.

  12. I love to see my son smile and be happy to see me. I love the way he snuggles on me when he goes to sleep.. I enjoy holding and reading him story books.

  13. Right now... My favorite thing is making funny faces at my 7 month old.  He thinks is absolutely hilarious and then starts making this 'chirping' squealy noises that pierce your ears.  I absolutely love it.   I also love waking up every morning and seeing my boy with those bright blue eyes and perfect smile.

Man, I love my son.  I honestly can't remember what life was like before he was here.

Great question! You made me smile on a sucky work day! :)

  14. I love it when my kids smile at me and when my 2 year old tells me he loves me.  With my 3 month old i love to hold him and stare into his eyes and talk to him and it makes me soo happy when he smiles back and talks to me.

I also like to look back at my 2 year old and see how much that he has learned.

makes me feel good to know i am changing someone's life.

  15. When my children were little, having them fall asleep in my arms.
