Just a simple question. I'm babysitting a fourth grader and a first grader. They are brothers and they get along well. I have been babysitting them for three years. The problem is, I think I may have run out of ideas.

So what's your favorite thing to do when babysitting? Thanks!

  1. I baby sat a little boy for 4 years.

and we would play trucks, go on the computer when it was okay, watch his favorite movies, make supper together, play on their playground, read books, when it was summer we would have water fights with squirt guns, go on walks with his bike, sometimes we would go over the neighbors and they would play together, and other stuff of that sort.

little kids are so fun (:

i hope some of those come in handy (:

  2. If the kid is the right age I like to play with blocks and legos and that kind of thing, coloring is also fun. My 8 year old cousin likes to play boardgames, but makes up her own rules to I don't like to play too often. I just don't have the energy to take them to the park right now (pregnant), but I like doing that, usually, too.

  3. When i was younger i used to feed them powdered sugar and play with them while they were hyper but in retrospect, i wouldnt reccomend that. Try reading some parenting websites. they could probably give you some great ideas that are also fun for the parents (in this case, you).

  4. when the babys are calm and good

    I watch TV :)

EDIT: I like feeding them :)

  5. i play store with them like really get into it. it may sound dumb and something maybe no one over 23 would do but i print them checks and they cash they're checks with monopoly money and i sell my stuff around the house for pretend. they love it.

  6. Find out what new things they are into and try doing that with them...Set up a clubhouse in their room or in the living room with sheets and blankets.  If they are not afraid of the dark, then they can turn out all the lights and use flashlights to "camp out" in the living room.

You can also do art projects, get some old toilet paper rolls or papertowel rolls and make rain sticks out of them....or just use something from around the house and let them make projects for their parents.  I am sure they would enjoy that.  There are so many ideas that I could offer, but we would be here all night...LOL.

  7. i like to soak toliet paper in a bucket of water and throw it at the celiling fans while its moving its alot of fun the kids cant stop laughing

  8. i did a scavenger hunt. that was the BIGGEST hit out of everything ive ever done. at the end i put popsicles and it engaged the 2,5, and 7 year old.

  9. watch movies...but i dont babysit often.
