What's your favorite type of Movie ending?

I hate the endings where they dance around all happy, as the screen fades away like some old fairy tales.

I think the coolest endings are the ones that end epic in a twist and the screen doesn't fade but instantly goes black and rolling credits are so last year but instead part by part appear and dissapear.

So lets say someone runs into the camera and the screen goes black and it says Directed By __________.

An example would be the ending of Iron Man.. nobody danced around all happy, but it did have a twist and the screen didn't fade.

Yes, even the smallest fade makes a big difference.

I like the ones that come with a shock or a surprise at the end...one I can think of off the top of my head would be: "The Other Boleyn Girl". At the end, the very end, you see where Queen Elizabeths story begins. That reminds me, I also like endings that are triumphant, and the honorable characters recieve their moment of glory. Like, Gladiator and Queen Elizabeth.

The style of ending doesn't bother me so much, so long as the journey to that ending was worth the wait.

The ending I laughed and cheered at most recently was the kickass unexpected and cool freeze-frame mid-jump ending of Tarantino's DEATH PROOF:

Watch the saw movies then you'll know the endings that i like. The first one was the best.
