What's your favorite vegetarian/vegan sandwich to pack for lunch, other than PB&J?

I like hummus with sprouts, taboula and baby spinach on sprouted bread. YUM!

  1. Tofurky w/ shredded cheddar (or soy cheese slices) guacamole, shredded carrots, cucumbers, onions and lettuce in a wrap.


  2. falafel with lettuce, tomato, alfalfa sprouts, cucumber and tahini in a wrap or pita bread.

    Bagel and cucumber, tomato, onion, lettuce, sprouts and green pepper.


  3. Better Than Cream Cheese with tomato, lettuce and sprouts on sourdough bread. Yum!

    Hummus with roasted red peppers, lettuce, sprouts, pine nuts and sometimes a slice of mild vegan cheese, if I have it, on any kind of bread or roll I have, but Italian is a nice choice. It's very good grilled too!

    If I'm in the mood for a sweeter lunch sandwich, I like Better Than Cream Cheese with apple butter on a nice multi grain bread.  

  4. I like a hummus wrap with tomato and onion in it. Occasionally I will add cucumbers for a little more moisture. :-)

  5. grilled polenta or fried tofu I am not a vegetarian but I still like these 2 sandwiches very much.

  11. the kind of sandwich you describe would give me the royal runs...i'll stick with pb&j....or salami, ham & mayo....ha ha....

  12. Tofurky or Lightlife deli-slices with hummus, or mustard, or vegan mayo, or other spread, with veggies on sliced bread, sub bread, or pita bread. Or just hummus or vegan mayo or other spread with veggies and/or fruit. Also peanut or almond butter with fruits and/or veggies such as bananas, avocado, apples, strawberries, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, blueberries, etc. Hummus with shredded carrots and celery with a flour tortilla or pita bread. Falafel with carrots, sprouts and hummus is good. Potato salad or chickpea salad or vegan chicken salad or vegan tuna is good. Tempeh bacon, tvp crumbles, or seitan slices or chunks sand veggie sandwich's. Beans and a spread with sprouts and other veggies on a pita bread is good. Rice, avocado and peanut butter. Avocado and lettuce are almost essentials in most of my sandwiches!
