  1. Black Pepper

    Tabasco Sauce

    1/2 med. dice onion.

...and of course the packets. :D

  2. When I  make taco meat, I use salt, cumin, Mexican chili powder, and onions.

    1 lb. lean ground beef

    1 onion chopped

    1/2 tsp. cumin

    1/4 tsp. Mexican chili powder

    2 cloves chopped garlic

    pinch of salt

    pinch of cayenne pepper

    1. Brown ground beef and onions in skillet over medium/high heat.

    2. Drain beef when no longer pink.

    3. Add spices, and sautee for 5 minutes.

  3. I use curry powder with all spice, and then rub it into the meat and grill it.

  4. Cook your ground beef.  When about half way done, add two crushed cloves of garlic and 1/2 onion diced. Drain. Season with salt and pepper. Add one tablespoon each of cumin and chili powder to your cooked ground beef. Add 1/2 tablespoon of crushed red pepper.  Break up the flakes to release the oils.  I like to add a bit of oregano to the mix, too.

After all of your seasonings are in, add 1/3 can of tomato paste and one diced tomato.  If the tomato paste is too thick, loosen with a little beef stock.  Add the juice of one lime after you remove the pan from the heat.

  9. I am a peanut butter guy and put it on everything. don't eat meat but would just put peanut butter. crunchy.

  10. Have you ever tried cooking it with one of your favorite salsas. I do it every once in awhile  just get a different tasting taco. my Mom sometimes boils potatoes then browns her taco meat  when they are ready she mixes them together and mashes it just like making mashed potatoes. then she stuffs the corn tortilla and lightly fries it. Very different but very good. One tip on groundbeef  that is already browned is to use a bean masher. That breaks up you taco meat very nicely.
