That is, a word that's formed from the associated sound - ie. sizzle, crackle, cuckoo...

My very favourite is "fluff." It just sounds - and looks - so, well, fluffy!

Cheers,

Hafwen :o)

Okay,  it's not a "word" except in my vocabulary, and I've been using it for a long time.

  2. oooh, I wanted to give a really cool intellectual answer...but I'm afraid I'm going to have to go with "Splat"...it is just such a cool word for me and reminds me of the green tree frogs when they land on the glass door, or alternatively my daughter when she mucks up her fly away off the bar in gymnastics...lmao!

  3. wail

  4. Splzack!

It's basque for the sound that lightning makes when it strikes.

    (It's a real word I promise)
