It can be any genre and the more you recommend the better! I love reading and I need some more good books. And if anyone here is looking for a good read I would recommend Fahrenheit 451 by Bradbury and Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger. Both are AMAZING books!!!

  1. "100 Years of Solitude" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I believe the very first sentence of this book is among the best stuff ever published - but see yourself...

It´s an amazing story, the author never ceases to surprise the reader with all kinds of crazy ideas. A very beautiful book also. And everything seems possible in this novel...

This book is only equalled by Vladimir Nabokov´s "Lolita": A masterpiece in storytelling and one of best original english books of all times - written by a Russian.

    I like your suggestions, too.

  2. The Gemma Doyle Trilogy by Libba Bray. The books are A Great and Terrible Beauty, Rebel Angels, and The Sweet Far Thing. Nothing compares to this books! When the characters are in pain, you actually feel the pain, because you are so lost in the books that you feel like you are the characters. It's breathtaking.

  3. my favorite would be the twilight saga, without a doubt. and i've read alot of books. i mean alot. nothing compares to this series.

  4. Mutiny on the Bounty by Charles Nordoff and James Norman Hall is probably the best book I've ever read.  I like old, more classical literature, and this one is your quintessential nautical tale.

The Last Boleyn by Karen Harper was also an awesome novel and I would definately read it again and again.  It's about Mary Boleyn, Anne Boleyn's older sister, and her affair with King Henry VIII well before Anne became the Queen.

For non-fiction I enjoyed a Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson.  An awesome (and hilarious!) memoir about walking the Appalachian Trail.

  5. Pride and Prejudice

Fahrenheit 451 was okay.. some parts bugged me and Catcher in the Rye was okay to.. he annoyed me though.

  6. my two favorites are....

As Simple As Snow by Gregory Galloway

    and

The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter  by Carson McCullers

  7. Swan Song by Robert McCammon

The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown

    Catcher in the Rye

    1984 by George Orwell

Lightning,  Life Expectancy, Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz

    Needful Things by Stephen King

    First Blood by David Morrell

  8. The twilight saga basically ruined all other books for me because nothing can compare to the romance, suspense, and humor of these books!!!

    I LOVE TWILIGHT!!!

  9. currently it's no one here gets out alive

its a bio about jim morrison. its very interesting too

i like biographies, no need to judge

  10. i like the Bell Jar and The Hundred Secret Senses (generally anything by Amy Tan). The Forger is another good one.

  11. Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte.

    Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain.

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

The Mayor of Casterbridge by Thomas Hardy.

The Scarlett Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne.

The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde.

  12. Love Stephen King books, the shining was an awesome book, had a lot more in the story than was shown in the movies, like hedges changing into scarey animals etc., would be a brilliant movie to redo with all the graphics and new techniques, would love to see that happen! :)

  13. I like the Twilight series. It is a great set of books and it I never get tired of reading them again.

Eragon and Eldest are great books as well. They are the kind of books that brings out the adventure, the romance, and suspense. Don't be thrown off by the horrible movie.

  14. twilight!!!!!!!!

  15. 1984 by George Orwell

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon

The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde

I have to agree with you on Fahrenheit 451. A classic dystopian and very much my type of book.
