What's your favourite restaurant in Edinburgh and why?

I love The Witchery .... opposire direction from the Royal Mile , its excellent . You have to book beforehand , thats how good it is ! It is very gothic like and a bit on the expensive side but for a treat or special occasion its a must ..

Oloroso.

Its not cheap so its a good place to take a date. But its not expensive beyond the normal pocket.

The fare is kinda different and pretencious, just enough to be "classy" but also it is edible and the menu is in english (nun of your fanch french or italian type names) so it scores on that front too.

The decor is kinda neuvau and minimalist which works for me. And the balcony is GREAT with nice views and sharp freash air...

All in all it is the kinda place I can take a girl to impress, it is not too pricey and it is a great venue
