I once heard that people in the northwest US are more comfortable at a much lower temperature than people almost anywhere else in the country---even though the weather is very moderate there the whole year round. I'm just testing that hypothesis! (As for me, I'm most comfortable at 65-70 degrees).

  1. about 78F.  it's been hotter in hawai'i these past 10 years or so, (up to the 90's) but that's ideal.

  2. Temperature alone does not tell the story. If you do not include humidity and wind speed, you might as well be indoors.

A rule of thumb is that the higher the humidity, the lower the comfort temperature.

A rule of thumb is that the higher the wind speed, the narrower the range of the comfort temperature zone.

  3. Personally, I like it about 96, but I live in a fairly dry climate.  If it were humid, about 90 would probably be good.

  4. 80

  5. 75 or so.

65 is a bit cool for summer.

Of course, where I live, the summers get over 100, so there are times where 90 degrees feels like a cool day...
