What's your opinion about the book "Animal Farm" By George Orwell ?

Do you like it or not? I didn't understand it at first, tho when our english teacher started talking more about it, then i understood it but still didnt like it :)

I liked it a lot actually.  I remember freshman year when i had to read it.  Everyone else hated it, and I thought it was weird at first, but if you learn the historical symbolism in it, it's actually quite interesting.

i just think George Owell is a genius for making fun of the Russians like he did. the whole book was really clever and the parallels are on point. idk, it was awesome.

I like it..satire is  always good...sortof a "slap in the face" without really touching anyone..plus orwells an awesome writer, tho he was kinda depressed..i read his essay "politics and the english lanugage" and that was good too

As for Animal Farm, i read in ninth grade and enjoyed, writing wasnt to hard to understand but it had a good theme...

It's an interesting read, but I refuse to pick it up again.  It's depressing and there is no hope to it.  While it is a creative way of describing the Communist revolution the complete lack of direction in the end makes it pointless.

i really liked it it was sort of like a unhappy fairy tale obviously a satire of the Russian revolution it left me thinking how man can become no different than an pig
