What's your opinion about the movie "Bell Witch Haunting"?

It is said that the "Bell Witch" case was a real story. Do you believe that? In case it is possible, what do you think are the causes of that kind of phenomenon?

I read the story long before the movie came out and I don't recall where Mr. Bell had been accused of molesting his daughters.

There was even a better version of it on the show called "A Haunting" than the movie itself.

Don't remember if that was on the Discovery Channel or Travel Channel.

Hay, when you live next to an old grave yard.  Like I do here at 13 schoolhouse lane, anything is possible.  We have reports of old timmy music coming from the Cemetery.  And I've seen the School Marm.

I have not seen that movie, but the legend of Bell Witch is an old legend that goes back a  ways. It is an interesting legend. I think it would be fun to visite the area where it started.

The Bell Witch has always struck me as the run-of-the-mill malevolent haunting.  The only problem I have with it is in the naming, as witches were often responsible for protecting against this sort of evil paranormal activity.

I haven't seen the movie, but the story itself is folklore.  It's a local legend that grew up and was no doubt embellished throughout the years.  No doubt the movie's producers took liberty to depart even from the embellished local legend.

Knowing someone who is an descendant, most of it is true.

Then on the other hand most of it is junk & false.  Then there are parts that are not known to the public, but only to the families.

What may cause that is resentment of some kind that is carried over in the next life.
