  1. If you do a lot of tricks wear a helmet

or if your a racer definetly wear one

    otherwise its personal preference

  2. In combat, I never went outside without it.

If you are riding a bike, skateboard, motorcycle, or any other similar type of "vehicle" you shouldn't ride without one.  I have seen the head injuries on people who later regretted not wearing one (If they were still alive to regret it.).  I also know of several people for whom a helmet saved their life during an accident.  I never get on my mountain bike without mine.  Many states have passed or will be passing helmet laws to protect children on bikes and all motorcycle riders.  A law shouldn't have to be passed to make people use common sense, but there seems to be a lack of common sense nowadays.

  3. I've had three minor concussions. My friend had a serious one involving a helicopter and a trauma center more than hour away. It was his first time he wasn't trying anything hard. Although I'm being a hypocrite and still ride without one, do yourself a huge favor and get one.

  4. Personally, I think that if people wore helmets there would be so much fewer accidents! I wear one snowboarding and

I can honestly say that I would have ended up seriously hurt without one. Even though it may look dorky sometimes is it just better to wear it!

  5. xD i never wear one, it's kinda time consuming and a bother to take care of, i just stay careful and make sure i watch around

  6. i dont wear one but have been meaning to get one...i've had a few bad spills over the years, the kind that give you instant migraine and make you feel like puking right there on the spot...i know its just a matter of time before i have the big one and do myself in, so yea maybe i'll buy one this year--nowadays they come with cool ipod speakers anyway so i'll have my tunes too

  7. It depends. regular mountain riding no helmit. its just not necessary. Heli drop riding fer sure use one its was too danjerous. besides Teje Haakonsen uses one and hes the best rider in the world hands down, that dudes amazing.

  8. Why WOULDN'T you wear a helmet.

    They serve so many purposes:

    1) Keep you warm 2) Keep you safe 3) Increase your confidence 4) You can connect your mP3 to them 5) Makes it easier to go through the trees and blast through small branches (just lead with your head)!

I haven't ever skied or boarded with a person who "thinks they look bad". Any person who skies with our group out here in Colorado that DOESN'T have a helmet alway says "I need to get one".

You've heard it said that you could be the best skier/boarder in the world but you can't control the others on the mountain with you... this is true.

Personal reason I am glad I had my helmet on: I overshot the downside of a jump at Heavenly and landed on the flat of the mountain, breaking my pelvis, injuring my knee, knocking myself unconscious, and breaking my tooth. My head would be split in half right now if I didn't have my skull-bucket on and I may not even be able to ski.

  9. You should defiantly wear a helmet. First of all it keeps your head nice and warm and their are some cool styles. And most importantly it could save your life. Most likely you won't kill yourself if you don't wear a helmet but you could hurt yourself and miss out on the entire snowboarding season! You should especially wear one if you do ramps and rails. Also even if you don't do anything dangerous, you never no if some out of control kid will come snowboarding into you and knock you into a tree and split your head open...so yeah wear a helmet.

  10. Dude, from a fellow snowboarder wear a helmet. Last week I was doing jumps and I didn't go off it right and went flying into a fence and hit my head on the wooden stake. If i wasn't wearing a helmet i would have a strong concussion right now. Just get a helmet and goggles and you'll still look cool, and won't kill yourself like I almost did.

  11. it should be up to the snowboarder.if he wants to risk getting hurt, let him.

  12. Yes. Once you've worn it for a day or two, you don't even notice it and it's always good to have that extra protection. Mine even came in handy when some kid carrying skis turned around and nailed me in the back of the head. All I felt was a little thump. I wear one with speakers in the earpads so I don't have to worry about separate headphones too.

  13. If there's a helmet to be worn during a certain activity, there is surely a reason for it. It's not an accessory. So always wear it.
