What's your opinion of Kimbo Slice?

Personally, he reminds me of Mike Tyson. Another overrated, overhyped punk, who has never beaten anybody that has any credentials. And just like Tyson, when he actually does have to fight somebody good or somebody that isn't over the hill, he will be destroyed. Just like Tyson was destroyed by Holyfield and Lennox Lewis when he finally quit running from them.

Kimbo is exactly what the MMA needed. My opinion, hes the man. I was at the May 31st fight in Newark. That was a good fight. No way in h**l it should have been stopped. After the Lawler was prematurely stopped, the viewers would have all felt ripped off with another stopped fight. Besides Kimbo was fine, I had floor seats, the man was givin the thumbs up. Hes a feel good story, rising from the streets. You have to admit hes turning into a better fighter. Thompson had credentials. The fight might have been differenent if he was smart and got his ear drained. Either way, I dont understand why everyone is hatin on the 305. Get used to seeing him. Hes a web sensation, and a goldmine for companys like Elitexc.

Well... he can box. Take him to the ground and it's over. I mean if EliteXC wasn't such a douche organization his last fight would have been stopped in the second round. No one organization let's someone take elbows to the face for two minutes. I mean props for kimbo for not tapping but I hate the eliteXC for making a noob to mma their flag boy. He's a boxer not a mixed martial arts. He's an awesome striker but... there are better.

i dont understand how you can compare a boxer like mike tyson to kimbo.  tyson fought alot of legitimate competition its not an easy task to be the undesputed heavyweight champion and tyson stayed undefeated for years.  tyson started boxing at 12 the guy worked hard sure he was a crazy nut but he had skill and acomplished alot kimbo is a guy with like 2 professional fights that did most of his training streetfighting

Slice is nowhere near Tysons level, Tyson was an animal that destroyed everyone for years, people were actually afriad to fight him, then unfortunately he went bonkers and we all know the story since.

Slice was a poor pro boxer who never beat anyone then took to fighting regular people for the internet. He got famous and now he is making some money from his fame. He isnt even close to being an average MMA fighter. Some people are saying his striking and power are great but there not. He has no ground game, no stamina, poor striking, and his punching power is average at best, and even then its only average for about 3 minutes becuase after that he's to tired to do anything.

I just hope new fans dont confuse him with a legitimate MMA fighter when they first watch MMA.

You mean Tyson the Olympic boxer? Mike was great in his day. I like Kimbo not because I think he is a great fighter, but because he is like a Rocky story to me. Fighting in backyards and parking lots to fighting in front of Millions. You aslo have to admit that he sells tickets because of his internet sensation status. His cardio is off, his ground game need work, but he can get better. Only think I didn't like is that he went directly pro and to a MMA fighter that has been into it for a while and trying to get a break it is like a slap in the face. Can any one of you say that you could go from making little money fighting and get a chance to change your life and make some real money that you wouldn't take it? Feeding your family is a large motivator.

Im sorry, but to compare Kimbo to Tyson is palin WRONG.

Tyson was the Heayweight Champion at 19. An amazing fighter, who lost his way as the world watched. But he HAD talent and showed it achieving great things with it...regardless what happended afterwards.

Kimbo on the other hand is a street fighter, who has made a living by using the internet to promote himself as a dangerous street fighter.

How these two compare I really do not know????

Kimbo is a street fighter who will make alot of money for promoters thanks to his hype. But only if he carry's on winning. Something I dont expect him to do
