You yourself posted that link a while back about the long exposure times and having people in the frame for part of it, so you would see both the person and the background through them.

Generally speaking, ghost photos from before are of the "double exposure" variety, where two negatives are actually projected onto the same piece of film. Carefully done, these would be very difficult (if not impossible) to tell from single-exposure processes on black-and-white film (color gets trickier).

However, the issue is that many of the times I've caught ghosts on my own digital camera, they were closer to "The Brown Lady" and "Church Ghost" photographs on your link than the startlingly clear other ones. I've never had the really clear ones before, but I've seen others take them, and been present. These kinds of images do show up!

But in the absence of solid evidence either for or against, it's hard to say whether or not the images are actually images of the spirits of the dead or not. There could be other things at work to make them show up, from alternate paranormal phenomena to more normal explanations like momentary refractions of dust... and in the end, the only truth that can be told is that it's "unexplained".

They either look like double exposures or like someone moved the camera as they photo was snapped.

Yes. Most of the ghostie pictures that come to

us from the pre-computer era are double

exposures.
