  1. Evolution was blatantly obvious even to the ancient Greeks and other cultures around before the OT was written down.

All the evidence, and I mean ALL of it, supports evolution. Possibly the fact that even Christian judges say there's not even enough evidence to teach intelligent design as a possibly theory, should warn you that the six day creation and young Earth goes against every single piece of evidence there is.

Roughly 1/700th of scientists in America with a relevant degree say the Creation is possible.

Darwin only ever said his theory needed more information and study, he never said it was wrong or recanted it at any point. He was just admitting he didn't understand the entire mechanism of it.

We have observed speciation occuring in shorter lived species like mice and mosquitos within human history.  We have actually recorded evolution in process. The most famous one recently is a new species of mosquito on the London underground. You have different traits on the ones one different lines, and this has occurred since the tunnels were dug.

And why is this posted in anthropolgy? Biology would be more appropriate.

  2. Clearly, evolution is as close to a fact as there is in science.  It is proven by fossil and easily seen evolution in later specimens.   It is proven by DNA which shows relationships that helps confirm the evidence from fossils.  It is not really debatable.  We all have monkeys in our ancestry and later apes.  They are not the living variety but they clearly were still monkeys and apes.

  3. There is no observable, repeatable scientific evidence that macro-evolution occurs above the species level....it is merely based on a false premise of naturalism and an extrapolation of micro-evolution which is observable and repeatable, testable such as experiments in bacteria and viruses, etc....

The fossil record is also pretty silent whereas we should find millions and millions of transitional fossils. The fossils we do find are fully formed creatures....many of the supposed "earliest" fossils are quite complex in nature such as highly developed eyes.

Genetic mutation rates and the need for millions of beneficial mutations, which are quite rare, also preclude that man and apes evolved from a common ancestor. The vast majority of mutations are either harmful or neutral....other factors like genetic homeostasis also seem to inhibit the natural selection idea...oddballs in the group are usually not selected or killed/starved by siblings and parents in early stages which may destroy any possible beneficial mutations that could arise later in life to have a benefit.

So many other problems and flaws as well.

  4. Evolution is the cruelest hoax ever to be played on mankind. It has given us no scientific advancements, no better understanding of the world around us, and actually makes people more ignorant for studying it. It is based on bad logic, faulty assumptions, lies, and intimidation. It exonerates evil and vilifies virtue. I could go on for days.

Oh, by the way; it's "monkeys", not "monkies".

  5. It is completely 100% true.

There is way too much scientific evidence to deny that evolution exists.

  6. Darwin himself said he wasn't satisfied with his theory. That said, I think we are evolving now and always have been, but the process is interrupted...given a boost...at at least three points in history.

The ancient Sumerians wrote that these boosts were supplied by the people mentioned in the Bible as the Annunaki or the Nephilim. These people claimed to be "gods", but not "The God". They combined their genes with Homo Erectus to produce Humans.

The theory of Darwin, added to the enhancements performed by these "gods" accounts for "punctuated evolution" which the facts support.

OBTW: An opinion is something you have when you don't know the facts. If you know the facts you don't need an opinion.

  7. Evolution is a fact.  We are physically descended from lower lifeforms.  If someone's religious beliefs conflict with facts, they might want to reevaluate its relevance.

  8. Evolution, the change in allele frequency over time in a population of organisms, is not subject to opinion. The theory of evolution by natural selection explains, with overwhelming evidence, how evolution happens; also not subject to opinion. Go here and learn.

  9. Evolution is not real. I believe in the true God who really did create us from dust.

If we evolved from apes, then why are there still apes? And why aren't we 'evolving' anymore?

Or, for those of you believe in the big bang theory, where did that first organism come from? It couldn't just be there, because it had to have come from somewhere. And the planets just magically aligned and have never collided. That makes perfect sense. NOT.

And how could we know that the fossils are from milllions and billions of years ago? WE HAVEN'T EVEN BEEN ON THIS EARTH A MILLION YEARS.

    Think about it...

  10. I tend to favor it over the 'magic giant in the sky did it' theory.

    Just kinda works for me...

  11. I believe it's true that life evolves, But I believe we were created this way. The fact is, no one knows for sure about the orgins of life. Yes, they are theories, but a theory isn't fact.

  12. There are many flaws to evolution, many catch 22's. For example if one thing is to involve it needs a certain gene but for the certain gene to be there it has to have evolved.

Another thing is that carbon dating is only one method of dating and can be wrong if certain things happened like...lets say a flood. There is another method of dating that says the earth is around 6000 years old.

If the earth is millions of years old than the space dust on the moon would be several miles thick, instead it is only several inches...the right amount for the earth to be 6000 years old.

If the earth is only 6000 years old than evolution can not have happened because it takes millions of years to evolve.

I do believe that bacteria and viruses evolve, though i wouldn't really call it evolution, more adaptation top new environments and threats.

    I hope I helped

  13. Evolution is the best theory we have to explain the FACTS we have.  It's not just monkies. If you go back far enough (and the problem most people have with evolution is not really grasping the vast times involved) then you can see that birds and butterflies and alligators allcame from common ancestors, too.

  14. its not true. God created eveything

  15. It's brilliant, essential to understanding life, and endlessly fascinating.

You should learn about it; it's well worth the effort.

  16. Well, I believe in creation, but not the whole 7 day thing. In the Quran, God covers creation, but not how it is currently written in the Bible. There is no time line, and one is never implicated. I sort of have this theory that I call "Evolution through Creation". Basically that we are still in the process of creation, and always will be because God is eternal and so long as the highest being is in existence, there will be creation. However, I think there are many flaws as well as possible truths with the Evolution theory, and so did the man who invented it (Mr.Darwin) research it, even he had several questions about his own theory.

Hey, to those of you giving me a thumbs down, its not like I am asking you to agree with me or anything. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion.

  17. there is scientific evidence that evoulution is real makes more since then 2 people magicly appearing

  18. Well i believe that God created us from Adam and Eve.

  19. I find the evidence for evolution to be overwhelming.  One example is found in breeding dogs.  DNA shows that all domestic dogs are descendant from wolves.  Dog breeders have used the mechanics of natural selection to produce every variation of dog, from the chihuahua to the great dane.  It's a fact that a chihuahua and a wolf share a common ancestor.  It's not difficult to see primates also share a common ancestor.  If you go back far enough all life shares a common ancestor.

This is an absolutley wonderful website to go to for stuff like this. Just download the different movies. Dinosaurs and the Bible is my personal favorite.

    Proof Evolution is a lie:

    1. The slowing spin of the earth limits the earth's age

    2. The 1/2 inch layer of cosmic dust on the moon indicates the moon has not been accumulating dust for billions of years

    3. Jupiter's moon, Io, is losing matter to Jupiter. It cannot be billions of years old

    4. The shrinking sun limits the earth-sun relationship to fewer than billions of years. The sun is losing both mass and diameter. Changing the mass would upset the fine gravitational balance that keeps the earth at just the right distance for life to survive

    5. The oldest known historical records are less than 6,000 years old

    6. The oldest living coral reef is less than 4,200 years old (Couldn't be 6,000 because The Flood would have destroyed it)

    7. Biblical dates add up to about 6,000 years

    8. The oceans are getting saltier. If they were billions of years old, they would be much saltier than they are now

    9. The existance of short-period comets indicates the universe is less than billions of years old

    10. At the rate many star clusters are expanding, they could not have been traveling for billions of years

    http://www.evanwiggs.com/articles/reason...

This also is another good website.

  21. There is no doubt about it being a fact, that has been proven using core samples from the bottom of the ocean and studying the fossilized development of micro species. So even with the gaps due to the rarity of fossilization there is no doubt where we came from. I'm just not sure that a tool making, big brain animal, is a good evolutionary idea, and we may self destruct.

That would explain why we have heard from anyone else out there in space.

  22. Speaking as a Muslim, I'd say that there is enough evidence in the Quran and Hadith to say that most of evolution (including the timeline) is true. Some things may have been 'helped,' by God, but I don't think there's anything contradicting most of what scientists today accept as fact.
