  1. Not enough information to render an opinion, though that didn't stop the newspaper calling it an "alien fleet".  That's very irresponsible journalism.

-it's noteworthy that the family was watching Alien Invasion at the time of the sighting

-where's the video that was taken?

-human observation and description of natural phenomena (well anything really) is notoriously inaccurate and subject to revision with the telling of the tale.

It is a UFO.  Please remember what that acronym stands for.

  2. Well, there's enough witnesses and evidence collected that it would be difficult to say it's faked... plus I have the video they captured (in my sources), which is certainly not faked.

I have no explanation for what it was, but from the two angles I have (one from that video, the other from a tabloid photo), triangulation places those objects between a mile and 4 miles away (that's US miles, not UK miles). Some things I've considered and rejected:

    1) They aren't helicopters. At that range, helicopters would be heard, even if faintly, less than a minute. By all accounts, the event was longer than 30 minutes.

    2) They aren't lighted weather balloons. Weather balloons can change direction suddenly up or down, but the nature of wind does not allow for horizontal direction changes.

    3) They aren't flares... airborne flares go out after about 15 minutes, tops.

    4) They aren't known jets, though the pattern that they're in does remind me of an extended search pattern of some kind. Also, a Harrier jet's flame is from a twin-engine jet, and looks blue at night.

    5) They weren't ball lightning, since they were in place for so long.

    6) They weren't stars.

    7) They weren't typical UFO sightings, which usually give white or blue as the main color, or often shifting. Orange is definitely a strange color.

    8) I can't rule out blimps, but then the problem is one of why nothing was showing up on the radar (according to at least one news story I've read). Blimps have a unique radar signature.

That's about all I could come up with. Other suggestions would be cool. I can't identify them. Definitely UFO's! (Unidentified Flying Object = airborne object which has not been given a positive identification)

  3. It would appear the Scientologists are surveying property for a new........church, temple, hangar.........what ever they call it.
