I'm glad they are coming out with a harddrive, but Late 2009?! And for Japan? That means America is screwed and will get it at the end of the wii's lifetime

  1. I'm a pretty hardcore gamers, and a retro fan, and I still don't really see the need for it.

  2. Japan needs it more than the US, they have a lot more available to them. More VC games, more Wiiware, more channels and content for Wii, everything.

I doubt it's a Wii hard drive though, it doesn't match the look of the console at all.

Edit: That thing is also huge - quite a bit bigger than the console itself. I can't imagine Nintendo releasing a hard drive that big... I'll go out on a limb here and say it looks more like some sort of fan/air purifier than a hard drive anyway.

  3. I personally have no need for a hard drive for my Wii. I feel it has adequate space available to suit even a hardcore gamers needs.

  4. i sure hope you don't have to buy that hard drive for the wii... i hope if they do come out with it, it should just have support for an external hard drive not a nintendo specific hard drive cuz that's the ugliest hard drive i've ever seen and it's huge... there's some awesome looking external hard drives that have tons of room and are a ton smaller than that plus the colors on that thing sucks.. but yeah.. i really need a hard drive too since i already ran out of memory on my wii with all my vc, ww games.. nintendo better release something soon for the downloadable content for games.. like guitar hero 4

    well hope that helps u

    peace

  5. No, that looks like junk. It's probably a Photoshop.

It doesn't even match the Nintendo Wii colour scheme, it should be entirely white with the Wii logo in the Wii plastic glossy material.

I am sure that is merely a hoax.

I believe a Hard Drive can allow people to watch movies and videos, and will encourage game designers to create downloadable content, which is pretty cool.

I hope Nintendo makes a REAL Wii Harddrive, not that doctored image.
