I'm just looking people's individual; thoughts, ideas, conjectures, opinions, beliefs, feelings, views, speculations, positions, analyses, observations and outlook on the whole deal.

Like as to why an overly affluent person such as McCain, who can't even remember how many houses he owns, picks a self-proclaimed 'soccer-mom' whose husband races snowmobiles.

Is he trying to identify with the blue-collar working class stiffs out there like me, living from paycheck to paycheck?

Not only do I know exactly how many abodes that I own but I can nail down my net worth to every cent.

This is supposed to make me want to vote for his pompous stuffed-shirt self?

I'm not 100% sold on Obama, but I seriously, I take his McCain’s VP pick as an insult to my intelligence.

  1. A political stunt at its best. Why do Republicans say Barack has no experience but this woman as even less than he does. And on top of that she said she has no real knowledge of the Iraq war? I like ok, this woman is totally clueless. GO FIGURE

  2. At first, I thought you Had an intelligent question. Then I saw the SOUR GRAPE kool aid stains on your writing and new you were just a left wing idiot like all liberals. Thanks for the five points.

  3. I think its slimy of him and just a way for him to get the tainted Clinton supporters, however the only votes he'll be getting are the ones voting for a lady just cause she's a lady and thats ignorant, I can only hope people are smarter than that *wishful thinking*

  4. Texas Senator Kay Baily Hutchison would have been a better choice.  Far more experience and definitely more name recognition.  My first reaction when I heard of his choice was, "Who?"

  5. He is desperate to stir up news and desperate for white female voters and desperate for young voters since we all know, including him, that he old as dirt!!

    DESPERATE!!!

  6. Two things. It worked for Bush in 1988, when he picked Quayle. And, desperation! McCain and Pa(l)in/08.

  7. I think it was a brilliant choice.  She is the real America, not Joe Biden, an old tired, life long politician.  His only claim to middle America is riding a train home each night, courtesy of the US taxpayers, he can´t even pay his own fare.

  8. I think he is trying to get the N.R.A.votes and mostly the women voters who had voted hillary.I think it's a sad day in h**l when the ones we vote for for president  are such slim pickins for us the U.S.A..He is so senile that he probably just picked who cindy said .He looked like a kid whio got his hand caught in a candy jar last night' when they both were on stage..A sad day for americans indeed.

  9. I don't think he was given a choice by the people who are pulling the strings here.  I think lots of people are insulted and particularly women.

  10. you are not sold on obummer?

is that why you dont consder that a rich man can own many houses and not know where they are/how many becuase they are just an investment. in this case of the wife? you are 100% troll, buddy.

mccain need not try to identify himself with anyone. he is not an elitist. he is a soldier.

enuff for stupidos. your "intelligence" is really limited.

  11. He picked her to get Hillary supporters, its so d**n obvious! I could never see that lady as V.p or president if Mccain died. h**l, the lady has 5 kids and a soccer mom. WTF?

  12. you take it as an insult?

    lolol

and your obama picks a 35 year insider that had 2 failed presidential runs and votes democat 97% of the time.

with all obamas preaching about not wanting washington insiders and then choosing biden, now that is insulting!!!

  13. .she has DONE things that Obama dreams of doing.... like against after her OWN party on corruption.…when if EVER obama has done the same in the highly corrupt Democrat party uh?...I say she is more for change than obama is...she has DONE it! Look it up!

  14. J.B. she is a hockey mom, not a soccer mom.

To answer your question, it was a desperate attempt by McCain to avert the media's attention from the DNC.

  15. McCain's decision making skills or lack of, are showing.

This was the most irrational, impulsive decision I have ever seen any serious political candidate make. It is an insult to our election process and a disservice to those who believe in him.

  16. McCain felt like he had to pick a woman to gain some of the momentum Obama has. Since he doesn't have much respect for women, he felt any woman would do. He wasn't going to pick a woman based on her opinions or beliefs because he doesn't care about those two things in women, so why not pick one for her looks. That's the way he's always done things - why stop now?

  17. IMO, one reason is his belief he will pick up the woman vote that Obama let slip through his fingers by not choosing Clinton as his running mate.  She is pro-NRA, pro-life, anti-g*y marriage also so she won't put the republican men off as much as Clinton.  Her inexperience with foreign policy really cannot be held against her because that is a perceived weakness in Obama also.

  18. Choosing Palin was a brilliant move on McCain's part. She will garner him the female vote, bolster his less than inspiring conservatism, and add needed youth and managerial experience to his campaign. Not to mention guys think she's hot!

  19. I think he wants woman voters to vote for him. He wants Hillary supporters.

I don't think it will work though. I mean, come on. She's under investigation for abuse of power right now and her husband works for an oil company.

  20. I must admit, for those bitter lonely Hilary supporters who will be voting for mccain simply because of his vp, they must be mentally retarded.

    Especially the ignorant annoying women.

  21. Just politicians playing their Number games.  Poor Numbers, I say!

    .

  22. He is trying to get the Clinton supporters to vote for him since he has a female VP candidate.  Not a bad idea in theory, but theory got us 8 years of Bush.

  23. i think mccain picked someone even further to the right than he is, so as to solidify his base, thus allowing john to appeal more to the center, which is where the majority of votes are.

  24. i don't care who he picked, i wouldn't vote for him anyway. however, i'm against palin's views on most of the things i feel passionate about. i was a hillary supporter, but not because she is a woman.

  25. He needed to gain the confidence of the conservatives in the Republican Party.

As much as I dislike McCain, I now feel I can vote for him and not look for a third-party choice.

  26. To appeal to PUMAs (Party Unity My ***) women and the religious right.

  27. I think he picked her because she has the Beauty Queen thing going on there and is younger than his wife ...... so when he's working late .... he'll really be working late.

She was picked to aggravate the DNC because they didn't have the guts to choose Hillary...... and if they keep on pressing the issue ... someone in the DNC will say something  that the GOP can use.

  28. I think he picked her because she's attractive.  That and it locks up the female moose-killer vote.

  29. It can get more female votes, plus she kinda looks like those hot secretary pin ups! A very wise move by McCain.

  30. She's not a "soccer mom", she's a "hockey mom".  And Obama is winning most of the hockey states.  The reasoning writes itself.

Never underestimate the power of hockey.
