  1. Ours is totally ripped up, but will be lots of wood, oak plank floors from our family farm, pine paneling from original farmhouse, and chestnut table, with red Windsor chairs.   We are putting in a wood cookstove and some Moravian tile on the backsplash and stove surround.  I am planning to put in a cream colored counter top to set off the wood, and have some fabric for either roman shades or curtains, I haven't decided yet.

I am jealous of all those with kitchens that actually have appliances and running water right now.

  2. Mine is black , white and yellow.

Yellow walls, black granite counters and white cabinets.

I used silver pulls that look like fork knives and spoons to add some wimsey.

The back splash is in white subway tiles and I have wood floors to add some warmth.

All my appliances are stainless steel and black , this goes well with the black counter.

I have a center island that is stainlees steel with a chopping block top and I have colored pendant lights over the island .

I totally designed the kitchen from scratch since our old kitchen was a very small 1950s  one  I decided to move the new kitchen to another side of the house.

I do not know what the kitchen scheme is of mine I just picked different things thst I liked and it worked for me.

Go to the bookstore and look at the mags and the books for ideas then start shopping around for the stuff you will need.
