3 months ago today I got asked out by the most amazing guy in the world. Neither of us had ever been in a relationship before, so I'm his first girlfriend, he's my first boyfriend. We got to be really good friends before we started dating, and we both really seriously considered whether or not entering a relationship would be the right move right now. Well, we both were at the same conclusion, and on June 3rd, we were supposed to go and talk.

The first thing he did was give me something... Cause a few months before, we were talking constantly after church on Saturday nights, and one night we were sitting in the parking lot and I made a heart out of the gravel with the white rocks. It ended up staying there for a really long time because people would always fix it if someone had "broken my heart". Well, one we were emailing about what would happen if someone tried to steal my heart. He said something really romantic and profound.

Well, on the day he asked me out, he gave me my heart... he had taken the rocks and glued them to a smooth, pretty piece of wood and he gave it to me... so my heart wouldn't ever break again. On top of it was a piece of paper saying what he had said in the email.

Then he sang my favorite love song ever... He had learned it on guitar and he played it for me. It's Inevitable by Anberlin, and the reason I like the song so much was because it says, "I wanna be your last first kiss..." and neither of us had had our first kiss... yet.

We were both so nervous, and looking back... we were really awkward. Now he's my best friend. It's only been three months, but I know I want to spend the rest of my life with him. <3
