Did anyone change their votes from what they heard? I'm anxious to see the Republicans and see if they can match the Dems!! Are you? Since I've been on the couch for 2 days I'm pretty much caught up on it all and wished they'd do away with the hosts like O'Reilly and Joe. I keep flipping the channels back and forth so I can hear and see what's going on with the speakers on stage and not the political analysis'!!

Have a good day!!!

  1. 1. My take on the Democrats? The Democrat Convention forces me to vote for McCain (If McCain picks Rice or Palin, I know I will). I am a Republican (voted for Ron Paul) that is not satisfied with my party or candidate so I watched the speeches in the false hope that the "new" Democrats would bring about "change" in an honorable and acceptable way. Instead what I saw and heard, granted from my perspective and not the supporters of the Democrat party, was a party that was willing to tell any lie, rewrite any history, obfuscate any position, and patronize the American people (patronize in the sense of adopting an air of condescension toward us). Kucinich (who I don't agree with) was the only speaker to accurately express his views. The others expressed what they thought the adoring crowds wanted to hear. Lack of veracity, "win at any cost", and the "end justifies the means."

    2. Were you impressed or depressed? If it makes anyone happy I was depressed because your party (if you are a democrat) has a good chance of winning. I would have rather seen Senator Clinton than Biden on the ticket (even though Clinton would have made for a stronger ticket). My daughter and son-in-law were impressed, they like Obama and are going to vote for the democrat ticket.

    3. If you mean Michelle Obama and Jill Biden are they classy? I don't have anything against either one of them. I think they are both, accomplished, strong women. I think Michelle and Barack's children are beautiful and charming. The wives and families of both candidates are great, something both candidates can be very proud of, however, they are not running Barack and Joe are.  If you mean Hillary Clinton (as one of the classy women) I may disagree with her politics but I do not dislike her personally and I think she comports herself well. In spite of what d**k Morris says, she acts like a lady even when those around her may be acting inappropriately.

    4. Unfortunately, I think the Republicans will match the Democrats in pandering to the people.

    5.I do agree with you about the constant political analysis. If you don't like the "talking heads" try C-SPAN. However, I like to argue with the TV (I sometimes jump up and shout at it) and by switching from channel to channel I get plenty of chances to do that.

    You, also, have a good day!!!

  2. I think they've become self destructive. American democrats had a chance for two Presidents for the price of one ( The Clinton family) and they blew it. Then, after that fiasco they had a chance to have three Presidents (Hilary as VP would have brought Bill on board again, awesome!) and they threw that away too. I respect democrats. I'd vote democrat but I hope McCain wins, for the sake of the country.

  3. Did a Great job this week.. Of course people won't give them Credit! And Yes.. Very Classy, Beautiful, Educated well spoken and dressed Women.. :-}
