Turn-on:when men/women have like long dark hair and greeen/blue eyes are really white and have lots of tattoos and piercings and wear a lot of tight clothes.

intelligence, girls that can play guitar, body modifications, dreadlocks, girls with nerdy glasses, girls in scrubs and/or lab coats, emo hair, great sense of humor, compassionate and kind people, someone who can engage in deep philosophical discussion,..well, I just like people who totally blow your mind.  Like the person who looks like they could be a homeless bag lady and then turns out to have the mental abilities of someone like Stephen Hawkins or something.  

turn off:

   people with no goals or motivation in life, people who are too predictable or non spontaneous, people who "settle", people who will ***** about things but do nothing to change them, people who are bigoted, homophobes, sexist, racist, uncompassionate to the homeless and mentally disabled, sorority girls and frat guys, rude, cocky and arrogant people who feel they have the need to overcompensate for something.
