i feel that its a womens choice u should not judge the women bc of her decision... u never know her situation and how she even got pregnant...u should just be open minded...and if it was murder then all women who have them would be in jail

Well, doctors debate if at the stage of abortion if the zygote is yet a "baby" or not. I think it depends if you think of it as "your child" or "a baby" or if you think of it as a mass of cells that haven't really formed yet. you know what I'm saying?

Personally, I don't think abortions are a good thing, but I think everyone should choose for themselves. Their are too many babies alive with parents who don't care about them, or kids bumping around in foster homes and we don't need anymore for someone dead set against having a baby to have one. And there are so many people on welfare and food stamps who just pop out babies and don't even think "gee, maybe I should have an abortion and wait to have a baby when I can afford food"... thats a novel idea.

Yes I do. I also believe however that the child has a right to a good quality of life and if that isn't available to them then perhaps abortion is best. Or if the child has some terrible debilitating disease - would you choose to live like that? Abortion is a horrible thing but sometimes the only or the best option. Adoption isn't as easy as many people like to suggest, but even if it were tell me, do you think it's cruel for a child to grow in the belly of a person who is taking dangerous drugs, not eating a healthy diet and living a yuck lifestyle? Cause personally I do think that's cruel and those babies should be aborted not made to suffer possible for the rest of their lives.

EVERYONE has the right to live no matter how good or bad they've been in their life. Abortion is murder to me, plain and simple. You're purposely killing a living being...not fair at all and very cruel.

I know there are certain circumstances, but it shouldn't be used bc the person doesn't want it or as a form of birth control. You can't take the responsibility than don't open your legs. The question early someone had said well if they were raped and had an abortion, not use adoption because of the pain the woman goes through reliving that situation. I agree with that, but in a way I don't. My MIL was raped at 15 and kept her baby. She now has a 34 yr old daughter who is her best friend. Just like I had an Aunt who had an abortion because it didn't fit in her "timeline". I think that is selfish. I really don't see how it's legal to have an abortion and not get away with murder, but killing a pregnant woman that's two counts of murder. That baby is alive. It has a heartbeat. It can hear at 18 weeks. h**l pee at 14 weeks. Abortion is legal up to 24 weeks. I think that should be lowered A LOT if they keeping it legal. A baby can survive at 25 weeks. I think that is very upsetting. I mean there is a such thing as adoption. That is an innocent life that isn't asking to be brought in this world so why kill it just because you don't think you're ready. You laid there take the responsibility.

YES!!!  That child does not have to suffer the consequences of others mistakes. It's not that child's fault. They are living people just like everyone else and do not deserve to die. It's murder.

Maybe abortion is one of those topics that women should avoid unless it actually pertains to their lives.

I mean, do you absolutely know what you would do if you were found to be an unwed mother, a rape victim, a happily married woman with a medical condition that could kill you if you don't abort a fetus??

Well, then, I think we should all just leave it alone.

Instead of complaining about the abortion rate why don't we ask ourselves what we could do to help these poor women who feel that this is the only option for themselves.  Maybe we could help out at a church hot line/lifeline... or maybe we could keep our mouths shut and stop judging complete and total strangers.

I think abortion is wrong, however some people find that there are certain situations its okay to have abortion like rape or preventing a child from being brought into a family of abuse and/or poverty. I guess we all have to be in the situation to express how we feel because its a subjective issue. However, I just can't live with the fact of killing my baby, even if the baby can't feel pain or hasn't had its first breath. I still consider it life once the baby is conceived when the sperm and egg meet.

Yes I do. Let me share a story with you. There was this couple that I worked with. We'll call them Jack and Jill. Jack

had an attendance problem and got fired. I was real close to Jack and Jill. The same weekend that Jack got fired he broke  up with Jill. About a month later, Jill found out she was pregnant. She was unsure what to do. Part of her friends wanted her to abort, while others wanted her to have the baby. While we were discussing this, she asked me if I would hate her if she aborted. I assured her that i would love her no matter what. Today she is a proud , single mother.  I hope this is helpful.
