I don't think there has been enough research done to make any sort of statement.  It reminds me of eggs - horrible, will kill you, eat only one per week.  Now, suddenly they are good for you, the best kind of food.  Now, if you want a healthy baby, be a healthy eater long before you get pregnant.

Well I've had the same breakfast every day for about ten years - a bowl of cereal with semi-skimmed milk, and a cup of tea - and I've got one son and one daughter!!!!

I think it's rubbish personally, and will only lead to people eating certain things because they want a boy or girl, and then being disappointed. Nature should just be left to take it's course.

There might just be something in it.  The composition of vaginal fluid is thought to have some influence on the spermatazoa. The woman's diet might conceivably (!!) affect vaginal fluid to favour xx or xy carrying sperm.

If breakfast cereal influences the gender, it would be what cereal the father eats, not the mother. When woman are born, all the eggs they will ever create are already with them. And they are all female. The man's sperm is actually what determines what gender the baby will be. And sperm are made through out the man's life, into his older years. That's why older gentlemen can still father children long after women the same age cannot get pregnant.

So, I'm 12 1/2 weeks pregnant. My boyfriend only eats frosted flakes, does that mean I'm having a boy or a girl?
