Historians say McCain is aiming to make history with his pick for VP, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, and he succeeded. People in high places say she is the most inexperienced person on a major party ticket in modern history. Not so!! Others who had inexperience and achieved their goal in the white house are: Spiro T.Agnew, & Dan Quayle. Geraldine Ferraro was chosen by Walter Mondale to be his VP but never made it. John McCain is a gambler. This is a high roller decision he made. What's he up to? There were approm. 18 million voters for Hillary when she ran for President and would even accept the VP office. Could those same voters still want a female in the white house and accept Palin instead? In the weeks to come, its possible it just might happen. After all, its been said we have an inexperienced candidate now nominated to run in November against the Republicans, so why now an inexperienced VP. On the job training works better than studying for the job. This ought to be an interesting election. What would be the shock to learn McCain won? What if a woman posed as a man and won the election and after his being sworn in let it be known they voted for a woman rather than a man?

  1. It locked in my vote for Bob Barr. I'm tired of the lib rino McCain.

  2. Yes, he just wants to overshadow Obama's history in the making.

By choosing a woman, a soccer mom.

  3. It was a brilliant choice, and I'm sure it has democrats whining and crying all over the country.

  4. I like her so far.  She's a go-getter and wants to get things done.  She seems optimistic about life.  She can handle the boys and still be a chick.  She's the Everywoman.  And yes, she has more experience than Obama at the Executive Branch level.  Remember, the Senate is a Legislative Branch office.

Some people may be thinking McCain gave away the election with Palin's pick, but remember, there is a silent majority out there that may choose her.

  5. He wants a bimbo, that's fine

  6. My views are, Sarah Palin is an ace card in the stacked deck of the Big Oil Machine. It's bushiness as usual for corporations with deep pockets, making deals with congressional lawmakers.

I'm not the least bit shocked that McCain chose her, but I am shocked that others are shocked.

    Shocking Choice by John McCain

WASHINGTON-- Senator John McCain just announced his choice for running mate: Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska. To follow is a statement by Rodger Schlickeisen, president of Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund.

"Senator McCain's choice for a running mate is beyond belief. By choosing Sarah Palin, McCain has clearly made a decision to continue the Bush legacy of destructive environmental policies.

"Sarah Palin, whose husband works for BP, has repeatedly put special interests first when it comes to the environment. In her scant two years as governor, she has lobbied aggressively to open up the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to drilling, pushed for more drilling off of Alaska's coasts, and put special interests above science. Ms. Palin has made it clear through her actions that she is unwilling to do even as much as the Bush administration to address the impacts of global warming. Her most recent effort has been to sue the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to remove the polar bear from the endangered species list, putting Big Oil before sound science. As unbelievable as this may sound, this actually puts her to the right of the Bush administration.

"This is Senator McCain's first significant choice in building his executive team and it's a bad one. It has to raise serious doubts in the minds of voters about John McCain's commitment to conservation, to addressing the impacts of global warming and to ensuring our country ends its dependency on oil."

  7. He made a great decision.  Palin actually has more experience than Obama does.  The funny thing is, most of the people condemning his move are the same that condemned Hillary.  ***

  8. I think it's fantastic.  Of course there will be all types of rhetoric thrown their way about Sarah Palin, but I think it was a brilliant choice.  I've read some rags saying that McCain chose her because he is desperate, but I doubt that to be the case.  Remember, he had plenty of time to research and visit with potential VP candidates while Obama and Hillary were duking it out for the dem's nomination.  I am certain he made this choice under wise counsel.
