  1. Small, modern with a medieval decor.

To further explain, I prefer a small wedding (50 or less), a ceremony that is free of all this 'ownership of women' c**p or all the persnickety stuff that is just pointless to me.  I like the white dress, but it doesn't work for me, so I'm going for lots of rich color.  While I would like something somewhat formal, for my guests' comfort, it's going to be casual.

  2. I am not engaged but............

I want the feel of my wedding to have a Pink-couture feel to it!

I want it to be romantice and s**y also upscale with a couture feel to it!

    Lots of Candles!

Pink is the color of the Day but with black so it will not have that Princess feel to it!

Now I just have to wait to get purpose too!

  3. Something short, sweet and private.

  4. Mine is simple elegant, his is...I don't even know...simple and sometime elegant but sometimes just a bit funny.  An example would be the cake I picked out (not too flashy, clean simple lines, pretty) and the cake toppers I let him get because he wanted them (the groom with a golf bag over his shoulder and the bride crossing her arms).  It kind of clashes I suppose but it's OUR wedding and the toppers are cute, even if they don't quite go with the cake.

  5. Your Wedding Day is special and it's about you and your groom! Your style or theme should reflect your own style! Whether you're a traditionalist or minimalist, etc, stick with your own style for your wedding and your invitations.

  6. I just want to find a good man to put a ring on my finger... once I get past that... who cares!

  7. If I ever do it its going to be in Vegas.  That way everyone can entertain them self and it doesn't stress me or my wife out before the marriage.  also I don't want a lot of people so making them travel allows you to invite more but less show up.

  8. Just being proposed to would be a nice start!

  9. Mine was something modern, simple but elegant with a jazz touch

  10. my guy and i are engaged and "tieing the knott" in the middle of the Caribbean Sea upon a cruiseship with our parents and siblings attending...this way we get to have a vacation with them and share our special day

  11. My fiance and I are having a an averaged size (110 people) traditional wedding.  It isn't in a church, but it will be a very traditional Christian ceremony, our venue really dictates the style of it.  It will be at the end of November next year, with a Christmas them, in a historic mill that is now a 4 start restaurant/reception venue.

It is a formal event with a sit-down meal and jazz quintet for after-dinner dancing.  The ceremony will take place in front of a roaring fireplace covered with garland.  Our colours are silver, gold and dark cranberry. There will be Christmas-y touches, but not too obvious.  (Think a Christmas party at the plaza hotel kind of thing.)

We are really excited!  It's a compromise on both our parts, since I didn't want a big wedding, but he did, and he wanted a winter wedding (January), but I wanted it in late November/December so it could be a Christmas wedding.  He wanted a sit-down dinner/Saturday night thing but I wanted a Sunday brunch kind of thing, so that was a compromise as well.  But I LOVE our venue, so I think we are both ecstatic with our wedding plans so far!

  12. We have already decided that we want an outside wedding. That is very close and casual. The ceremony will be traditional, but the rest of the night just fun! That is exactally what we both want.

  13. Well, my perfect wedding would be to have us there with parents, sibilngs and their partners and grandparents for a private ceremony then have the reception with all our family and friends.

unfortunately my parents passed away when I was younger and his parents are seperated and living halfway across the world so we wont even get close to it :(

  14. Here is a great site that can help you with the preparation for the wedding. Check it out if you want to: http://weddingkits.org/, http://beautykits.org/

  15. I guess classic elegance is the style.

For us, our wedding is going to be smallish....40 guests, and in a catholic church. I play cello so we are having a string trio play in the church, and  also to begin the reception on the terrace which overlooks the harbour.

For the reception dinner itself, we are having a jazz trio play. Gives a different mood. Time to relax and party on a bit then! That is in a seperate dining room with floor to ceiling windows. Can see the Sydney Harbour!

For something different we arent having a wedding cake. We are offering several dessert options instead and then petit fours. We will have a cake when we have our housewarming instead!

My mum is very ill so some of the things we are doing are for her. The Jags we have as cars are the same year model as her birth, she thinks that is really nice! And we have our mothers signing the register because both our fathers have passed away so we wanted to include our mothers.

We arent having bridesmaids - my mother is beginning the processional, followed by my aunt. I think its nice to have family.

Colours: I'm in a soft champagne colour and my fiancee is wearing a black suit with a champagne coloured tie. Flowers are long stemmed roses...in a creamy peachy pink colour.

We will have a great day and thats all we want for our guests too!

I cant wait to see my mother all dressed up and sitting in one of those vintage cars - to see her happy will be the best gift of all!
