What AFL club has the best club song?

Question

it's always nice to hear your own club's song playing at the end of a gruelling match, signifying a win, but is there any other club's song you wouldnt mind listening to at the end of a game?

-you dont have to like that team to like their song-

1) i have to admit that i am a freo supporter- but i love fremantles club song! i really love the drums and stuff.... it's just so good! haha

2) i actually really like port adelaides aswell, it's upbeat.. 'we've got the power to win...'

3) and from the old style club songs.. i like richmond's! it's awesome! 'oh we're from tigerland...'

sorry to carlton's though.... it just doesnt stack up!

As a mad keen Hawks man, Im going to obviously go with the Hawks song but I really like Melbourne and Richmonds. I go to the Freo games with my missus and just sit there with my ears bleeding, begging for the agony to stop when hearing that disgusting abortion of a theme song....

the way things are going there it should be changed to...'Freo, given  the old heave ho...down to the bottom of the ladder we go...'

I'm biased but i really believe the tigers song craps all over the others, nothing better then being at the 'G' and you hear the big 'YELLOW AND BLACK', fantastic, wish i could of heard it more this year, one more week of pain then we'll have a chance in a few games, tough 4 weeks, we've had.

sorry but that freo song is close to the worst in my opinion, it doesn't even sound like a footy clubs song, either does Adelaide's, I'm not having a crack at the non Victorian clubs, the songs are just c**p, don't mind Melbourne's, my senior club of over 9 years had that tune, few others are OK, hawks, Fitzroy's was good too.

The newer ones from West Coast, Freo and Port sound more like a pop song than a footy song

I am a Bombers fan but I think that the Eagles tune is very catchy, the Tigers and Hawks too! The magpies song was played at my brother in laws funeral so that one is out for us.

My sons version of the Blues song a few years back;

"we are the wooden spoons.....we're the team that always lets you down..... we are not the champions..."

Hence, they did take the spoon that year! (sorry Blues fans)

Ports song is pretty crappy and so is Freos. I hope they do better with the new teams!

i hate to admit it as a saints fan, but St Kildas club song sucks! so unimaginative and i seriously hope no one got paid to right it over 100 years ago!

Adelaides, collingwoods, West Coasts (all things considered "flying high" should not be words in there club song!!) freos, bombers songs are all rubbish!

i would say Richmonds is the best one going around, tho i have a soft spot for carltons, as thats the song our club song is based on

The songs themselves come with tradition.  I don't like my own team's song musically but there's more than 70 years tradition in it (I think that's about it).  I love the piece of opera "March of the Toreador" by Bizet ... and I think it's bastardised in the club song.

I've always kind of liked the "Good ol Collingwood" song even though it's unimagainative really.

Freo, Port and Adelaide songs seriously suck.  I hate the style.  How do you sing that c**p after a game?  But one day there may be tradition with it.
