i got a sapphire hd 2600 pro agp and did a test on FPS. it ran at around 88 on the test but my older geforce 7600GS scored around 155!

am taking it back tommorow! (the ATI). Will the sapphire ati radeon x1950 pro agp perform better than both these cards and prevent my games from sticking!

also on the power supply is says its a 385watts but on the box it came in brand new it says 400 watt power supply. (mercury) It it be running at 400watts?

the hd 2600 performed terrible on games like ghost recon 2 and turok with sticking but the 7600 gs nvidia did not stick. i did not expect that!

shal i get x1950 pro?

  1. The best AGP card was an 8800GT,beating a X1950pro

Psu's are rated at the maximum Watts that they can kick out

ures is 400watts to theoretically it is able to push out 400watts but the question is for how long?

most cheap, generic Psu can be rated at 600watts etc but can they keep it up for a period of time  and remain stable??? the answer is not a chance.

Antec,Coolermaster,Hiper,Seasonic. All good quality makes that do what they say on the tin.

I doubt that ure psu will be enough for that card as its needs at 30amps on the +12vrail and some sites and forums are saying a  450w good quality psu.

either way if u want to take gaming to the max on ure Agp its a 8800Gt or the card u suggested but im afraid that u may have to upgrade the psu as well.

  2. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...  That is about the latest and greatest of the AGP cards, and most likely the last edition they will  ever make....
