Question:

What Accent Colors Would Look Good With A Rich Pumpkin Color Wall?

I just painted my walls a rich deep pumpkin color (it is Behr "sesame crunch"). I purchased some chocolate brown tab panels for the windows. I have also purchased off-white fabric for large pillows to go on my light brown couch. I also have some green plants... I really would love to hear your thoughts on what textures/colors would look good? Thanks!

  1. use some chocolate cushions on the sofa  maybe use some natural basket for holders for the plants try some church candles .............how large is the room as that will also have a factor to what colours will be good to add if the room is small you don't want to add in too many accents  also what is the floor covering  if wood maybe use a greek floti rug  either in chocolate or off white

  2. earthy tones, greens, browns, yellows, and throw in a dash of purple ot blue

  3. I think with the other colors in the room, other fall colors would look nice. Dark reds, Burgundy, oranges, and yellows.

Or, if you don't like the fall colors, then maybe darkish blue or purple, like as a contrast.

But since you already have brown, off-white, and green, I think fall colors would be best.

  4. all colors of greens would be good with pumpkin, because they are natural to that color. And some types of blues also beige and other neutral colors. Best thing to do is to go out to any store that sells paint and grab some chip sheets on the display racks, check the colors that you like that you put with the pumpkin color you have and keep them on hand with you when you go shopping for any decor for that room.

  5. You can use a soft brick red, or one of the coordinating orange-softer is better.

  6. off whites, deep chocolates, golds, bamboo colors rather than greens, definitely PLUSH (pillows, throws, etc), antique dark brown metals for lamps, and frames

  7. One or two small red pillows would look nice...

  8. chocolate brown would look gorgeous, you might also want to try like cherry woods, or grainy textures would also look amazing good luck
