  1. im not a shakespearian fan myself. Because i like to know what is going on. However, recently i saw an 'A' Level production of Midsummer Nights Dream where i completely forgot it was in shakespearian language they performed it so well. Looking back it really was down to over-expressing gestures and language. Obviously truthful and method acting wouldnt be appropiate for shakespeare however with the right energy and confident performers the story really comes to life. That would be a key for me, in shakespeare performances the story must come before the characters, if u get me lol

  2. i say patience..a good memory for all the shakspearean words! and the ability to focus

  3. A very good memory; the passages are long. Very good diction is needed.

It also helps to understand what is actually being said so you can convey the right emotions to make it interesting.

You need a voice that projects in the theatre.

  5. "I, my lady am but a lowly actor, To walk, talk and act for your entertainment. I say my words, Doff my cap, Make a leg and then retire to  await  your applause"
