It's spring time so I would go with beer, tequila (for margaritas), rum (for other sweet tropical drinks) and the necessary mixers.  You might throw in some white wine.

Do Sangria.  It is easy, cheap and no one has to tend bar.  All you do is get red and white wines in two seperate pitchers and add various fruits and ice.  Let seep together for a few hours.  EASY!!

people like mixed drinks (pick up some vodka, gin, tequilla)....also a bottle or two of wine wouldnt hurt (one red, one white)....some beer just in case (but not alot unless you want it leftover)

Bourbon, scotch, vodka, whiskey, rum -- basic for any party, unless you're going tequila--Coke, seven, soda, sour, and a couple off the wall mixes, you wouldn't mind having as a leftover.

malibu is also really good. mix with pineapple juice, orange juice, coke, ...

Depends on the age group of the people and their personal style . Are they beer drinker or wine drinkers..Mixed drink normally go over well but do you have a person lined up to mix the drinks?

A dozen barrel of beer, two dozens of tequila and endless bottles of infinite are the very  best alcohol you  should have for your party. I suggest also that it would be best if you would invite many people from the neighborhood for a perfect merrymaking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Making a fruit punch is always good, with vodka, pineapple juice, orange juice, or just fruit punch flavored juice you get in a massive tins. Chop up some fresh fruit to put in it as well, and some lemonade to give it a bit of fizz.

A keg of beer is always a good choice, especially if there's going to be a lot of boys going, since they probably aren't too fond of drinking punch.

Other than that, get a slab or two of mixed flavoured Cruisers or UDLs, but considering the new alcopop tax, that'll cost you a fortune.

Punch is your best bet, and will end up being cheapest.

You can also make jelly shots as well!
