Well, I am vegan I am 125 pounds I lost 10- pounds, I want to get down to 120, I look online for advice on eating and everything says stay away from

Bread

Pasta

Potatoes

Peanuts

Bananas

Grapes

Juice

Rice etc....

What can I eat? What do I eat my vegetables with?

This morning I had a nice bowl of home made oatmeal and raisins but for lunch I only had peas and grapes and for dinner last night, I had broccolli in garden veggie broth because everything says stay away from rice, and pasta.

If I eat nothing I will gain weight.

Is it okay to eat pasta etc.....?

I think tonight I will have a small bowl of pasta and peas because, my head hurts when I eat so little, I want to eat but I don't know what to eat.

  1. you could not eat I'm not a vegan but when I'm hungry i eat i snack when between meals because i play sports i play football soccer basketball I'm on my schools swim team and I'm in a sponsored team for paintball i eat tons of c**p and good food and stay the same weight so ma bey try a sport or bike walk every day my friends day goes on a 40 plus mile bike ride a week and is in great shape also paintball hurts but i lost nearly 10 pounds in the first year of playing its also fun and a great group game get a bunch of youre friends and go out to a field one sunday they will supply everything you need i hope this helps

  2. Just stay away from any carbs with little fiber in them.  Wholegrain breads with at least 2 grams of fibre per slice should be fine (you can't really overeat them).

You can also try lentils, chickpeas, all-bran cereal, quinoa grain, brown rice, bulghur wheat, soft-cracked boiled wheatberries, or sweet potatoes.  They're all vitamin and mineral rich, high-fibre carbs.

  3. Just about everything on your list is high in Carbohydrates. If you don't get enough exercise you can gain weight from eating too much of them. I'd say that its pretty safe to eat rice and bread and pasta etc. but make sure you go on (ex) a 5 min jog or a brisk walk later.  Just enough so you get the good nutrients from those foods but lose the bad.

  4. The recommendations you speak of are probably intended for meat eaters. As a vegan it's important for you to get protein so please eat nuts and pulses (chickpeas, beans, tofu etc.)

By the way, 125 lbs? Why are you trying to lose weight? Unless you are really, really short (I'm talking dwarfism) 125lbs is a great weight.

    Relax and enjoy your food.
