  1. On your budget, you're looking at an all-in-one system which would be a waste of money if you're using the PS3 for DVD.

You need to raise your budget, the £350 will get you the Onkyo 606, as another contributor has suggested, however, if you want to realise its full potential, the speakers for it will cost you another £500 on top of that.

A decent set of speakers with that receiver will blow your windows out!

  2. HI there i work for comet and at the moment samsung has relased new systems that are very nice and small but loud with a piano black finish. if you could get a bit more then i would get a panasonic as i belive they are the best on ther market. hope that helps  but look on comets website to find what you want.

  3. Yamaha 663, Sony 820, Onkyo 606 are around your range and they all support new HD sound formats via HDMI.

  4. Since you're on a limited budget, I would suggest a lower end Onkyo receiver (maybe the lowest one with HDMI inputs) and a lower end 6 speaker system (center, 2 rears, 2 fronts and subwoofer) from Polk Audio, JBL, or Infinity.  With proper speaker placement and sonically matched speakers you should be able to put together something decent for that price.
