What Anti Depressant dosage should I take?

I am taking 10 mg of Lexapro and I feel like it is working except I feel that it wears off after a few hours. I've been taking it for almost a month everyday and tomorrow I am going to the doctor for a check up. Should I ask for 20 mg or how do I explain that I think I need more?

  1. Talk to your doctor because they will know how much you need. Let them know that you feel like it doesn't work well but  don't change the dosage on your own. Maybe a new medicine will be better for you.

  2. I think you just say what you've just said to us! That you feel like it wears off too quickly and that it's not helping you in the long-term sense. Then I would think that either your GP will try you first on a higher dose, like you said, or will perhaps change it to another type or brand of drug.

    All the best ducks!
