  1. well, first of all - relax. nothing bad is going to happen. if anything, this is going to be really fun. i loved my first day. call your friends and plan where to meet for lunch and stuff like that.

wear an outfit that you love. i know appearance isnt everything, but if you look good, you will feel good.

be friendly to everyone. this will give people a good impression about what kind of person you are.

lay everything you are bringing/wearing out the night before school so when you get up, you can get ready really quickly.

tell yourself everything is gonna be awesome.

    good luck ♥

  2. well the high school im going to has an orientation for freshmen,

juniors and seniors walk you around campus and try to make a fun day out of it

so if your school does this i would suggest attending so you can get to now the school and meet other freshmen

if there isnt a program like this you could go to the campus so you can get familiar with it

  3. Go to your freshman orientation if your school offers it. I know most of the high schools in my area offer them over the summer. It will get you more comfortable with the building and knowing where all of your classes and everything are.

If your school does not offer an orientation, I would definitely recommend going up to the school to pick up your schedule and go around to find all of your classes. Figure out the quickest way for you to get from one class to the next...and remember to include your locker in there!

I used to tape my schedule and a school map in the front and back covers of my planner so that I would not look like I didn't know where I was going.

That being said, make sure you get a planner to write your assignments in. It will also be very helpful for you once you start to get involved in different clubs or after school activities and you need to organize your time.

In the first month, you will probably hear about all sorts of different after school activities for you to participate in. Go to the meetings, check them out, the worst thing that can happen is that you don't enjoy it and you decide not to go again. The best thing that can happen is that you find something you love and have a great time.

Be friendly to everyone. You don't have to be their "friend" but at least smile and say "hi," be someone who they respect.

Figure out what you are willing to do, what you will not do...and stick to it. Do not let your peers, or even your friends, influence your decisions. In the long run, you are the one to face the consequences, not them.

Life is full of choices. Make the right ones.

Good luck with the start of school...have a great time! :]

  4. I found that it really helped to have a tote bag. Not as big as a back-pack because our school doesn't allow that, but something to carry smaller books, pencil case, water and girl stuff in. It made getting ready for classes easier because at my locker I only had to grab text books and binders, the rest was in the bag.

If your teachers tell you that its not allowed to carry this around with you, you can try saying that you need it for your feminine products or medication, if you need to carry it with you.

All the best in high school!
