What Are Your Opinions of EHarmony & Match.com?

Question

Do they work, or are they just a "Pyramid Scheme" to get people to pay more money?

I'm happily in a relationship, but I guess I just wanted to see how internet dating is progressing.

I think they really work,  I work for one of the above mentioned companies and I constantly hear testimonials from people that have met, fell in love and married.  Internet dating opens you up to meeting people you may have never had a chance to meet before.

Great for women- Lots of choices as long as you are average to good looking. The women to men ration is 1 to 3.

Bad for men- Unless of course you like to go whaling.

Eharmony is lame as you cannot specify an age range ( even free Yahoo personals does that ). Match.com is a lot more open, and it doesn't make you go through the useless questional that Eharmony has, but you still need to be just as careful as with any other dating  service.

Basically, bad people are going to get past any screening, you just have to play it safe on the first few dates before you start letting them into your personal life.

I can't complain.Thats how I met my husband to be. I couldn't be any happier. If you use it wisely and know what your doing it can be a great tool.

I am getting married to a wonderful man and I am soo happy and so excited.
