  1. Audi A4 or A3.

Most fun Audi sedans to drive.

    Best looking Audi sedans.

    Luxurious, Quattro AWD, safe.

And they are the cheapest Audi's.

  2. I've owned 2000 A4.  I do a lot of my own maintenance.

The car is pretty stable and safe.  But because of the high cost of maintenance (even just for part), I would never buy another audi again.

    Sorry.

    good luck...

  3. Looks: Audi A5

    Safety: Audi A4

    Price: A4

Overall: I would get the A5, but finding one right now is hard. Audi did not anticipate for this ca to be one of the most desirable cars for 2008, and they learned by having all cars coming in until November already being sold.

If you need a car right now, I would get an A4. It has won an award by IIHS for having a top safety pick, and since the new A4 is coming, dealers want to clear all 2008 before the 2009 come in making good prices eligible.

    Good Luck

  4. rs 6 it has great looks it can be cheapish depending on what you get with it... its comfy great ride and safe

  5. Okay, i have to strongly disagree with the first Answer given to this question...

An Audi is not only a prestigious name for a car owner, but a safe bet in reliability, economy, and safety..  Due to the fact that Audi's are produced here in Europe, where the currency ratio is much higher (Euros - Dollars) the price can be significantly steeper than that of an American built car.. I.E Ford Chevrolet Etc...

But in my opinion, Audi's are some of the best cars out there..

Now, if you are looking for a cheaper solution.. certified pre-owned is the best way to go.. You have an Audi Guarantee, and most likely a 1 year warranty..

The problem with Audi's being 'Fixed' by a a general mechanic, or.. (by the owner) is that the engines tend to be more sophisticated than that of an American car. If you have a New Audi, you don't take it to the dodgy garage around the corner.. you take it to a certified dealership, people who are trained to deal with these specific engines..

If you are looking for a NEW Audi, the cheapest on the line will be a base model of the A3, a fantastic little car.. but compared to most of the cars on American roads, (a baby).. so if you need the extra boot space, or perhaps more legroom, the next model up is the A4..

But to go back the the A3 for a moment, the 5 door hatchback version is easily large enough to seat five people with room in the back for the supermarket run.. whatever..

so if you are looking for a brand new Audi, the A3 and A4 are good looking cars.. (as all Audi's) but are not a bad price if you consider what you are getting..

Obviously the pre-owned sector has it's advantages too, meaning you can go for a slightly higher spec.. the A6 is simply a larger (almost executive-esque) version of the A4.. but the Pre-owned badge, also means you can shoot for a more sporty alternative.. The s3 and s4 are the sport models of both these cars.. you gain optional extras such as full leather sports seats, superb sound system Etc... but without sacrificing economy or safety..

In my opinion.. i would go for a Pre-owned s4, from no earlier than 2004,.....a nice model there..

Now, as  you have also said PREFERABLY Audi.. there are some handsome alternatives if you are looking for Style, Economy, And Safety..  (Whilst not exploding your wallet)

BMW are very much the same deal.. except you should replace the A4 with the 3-Series the A6 with the competing 5-Series, and the A3 with BMW's all new 1-Series.. (1 series harder to find Pre-Owned as the 1-series is a new model)

And then the other alternative (cheaper) is the world of VW.. a more average-joe friendly German Solution with a nicer price range..

In the VW range, i suggest you look into the Golf.. (as VW's tend to be slightly cheaper, you can shoot for the moon, and try looking for a GTI)

Or again, the more executive Passat..

Hope some of this helps, and that i didn't ramble too much..
