I need something that could be cooked in an electric skillet or ingredients pre-cooked and then mixed by the kids. Must not contain eggs. Any ideas?

  1. Aborigines don't eat kids, no matter how they're prepared!!!

    (only joking.....)

  2. lammington is a great idea (from an answer above)

but if you want an easy (you know how to do already) sort of thing, get a rump steak or t-bone and have that with a couple of sausages, mashed potato and some vegitables.

aboriginals mainly hunted kangaroos's and other animals....and picked berries from trees.....and cooked it over a large fire.

i am sure that you can find many great australian meals on a recipie website or e-cookbook.

    good luck!

  3. A vegemite sandwich.

An all time Aussie favorite, actually I just might make one now!!

  4. breakfast  bacon & eggs & coffee

    lunch         sandwich (ham/cheese/tomato)

dinner       lamd chops with potatoes peas & pumpkin & cup of tea

Australian & that is what i ate yesterday

  5. You could try Damper, but I don't know how that would turn out in an electric skillet.

  6. They'd probably like to make lamingtons which is a very Australian delicacy. I know I did when I was a kid and they're very simple and fun to make with no cooking required once you have the cake.

All you need is some sort of egg free plain cake, preferably square or rectangular and somewhere between 1 1/2 inches and 2 inches thick, chocolate frosting and dessicated coconut.

Cut the cake into 2inch squares, dip in the chocolate frosting until completely covered and then roll in the coconut.

I assume you're not from Australia and I'm not sure what dessicated coconut is called overseas, though I imagine it will be as common elsewhere as it is here. It's cheap and the bits of coconut are very small.
