  1. I'm petty sure you take the Richmond line to N. Berkely station.

To be sure, try going to transitinfo.org or bart.gov

  2. Take the Orange (Richmond-Fremont) line to the Downtown Berkeley station (second and third links below) and use the Shattuck Addison East exit, then walk east on Center Street 1 block to the campus.  Alternatively, AC Transit line F circles the perimeter of the campus going clockwise to get you where you're going.  Because it is a Transbay service, however, the fare is higher.  There are local routes that circle parts of the campus; see which one of them is right for you by checking the UC-Berkeley inset at the top of the AC Transit Richmond/Berkely systemwide map (fourth link below).

  3. Downtown Berkeley - it's very close to UC.

There's a direct train from Fremont (Richmond train). You should check out the BART website for the area map.

  4. The Downtown Berkeley station, not the North Berkeley or Ashby Street stations.

  5. The Berkeley station.

Then you have to hike uphill a bit. Pretty campus, but the hills suck
