  1. Well in i think in netherlands or somewhere near there they burn their rubbish, but in Brazil they use sugar crane which is fermented to make alcohol.

In Europe we could burn our garden waste, wood, rotten food and off cutting from farms. Or we can use crops not fit for use.

Bioconversion: animal wastes to produce fuels such as methanol, natural gas, and oil

    The advantages

It makes sense to use waste materials where we can.

The fuel tends to be cheap.

Less demand on the Earth's resources

    The Disadvantages

Collecting the waste in sufficient quantities can be difficult.

We burn the fuel, so it makes greenhouse gases.

Some waste materials are not available all year round.

  2. I would think probaly biodiesel because all components going into it are renewable. Plants can be grown easily and take in Carbon Dioxide and Methanol can be made from either natural gas OR wood.

  3. Hemp is the best.  Most efficient and cost effective.  That's Henry Ford used...  Other bio-fuel (like corn ethanol) are not really efficient - They sound good but it takes 1.2gal of gas to get the same energy from 1 gal of typical bio-fuel.  Net loss, 20%
