What Blog topics really spark up interest among internet users (specially google users) nowadays?

i have this new account on wordpress and i've been wondering what might be a good set of blogs for my initial blogs. i want to keep people's google search (or any other search) to always have my blogsite on their first page since i really want to know if people are somehow interested in my blog topics. in short, i want to know what you guys are often searching in the internet.

any list of categories will help. best answer will be the person who gives me an organized set of categories. who knows? maybe one day you'll end up reading the very answer you told me in my wordpress site :D

Write about stuff going on in your local area. You'll be surprised how quickly google indexes it and how soon you get traffic.

The key is 'original' more than 'popular'. Just the right mix of original content that is also a hot topic and you will get good traffic.

But don't be too disappointed if people don't post comments right away.

You can check out Google Trends to see the latest searches (keywords) that people are looking out for.

Look through the list and you can start setting up blogs on those topics that you are comfortable with.
